Pojke Flicka is about Sam, a young boy who ends up at his aunt’s after his mother dies of cancer. The two families hardly ever had any contact before, and now Sam is supposed to be like a brother to his cousin Matte. This is easier said than done, Sam doesn’t get along with either Matte or his cousin’s friends, and soon there is trouble. But Sam longs to be part of their gang, and to deserve his place they challenge him to be dressed as a girl the first week at his new school…

Pojke Flicka is a comedy about gender, love and friendship. Profilteatern wish to continue and deepen the gender discussion, and the roles given us because of our sex. Even though Sweden has been named “the most equal country in the world”, doesn’t mean Swedish people don’t get judged by their sex, especially growing up. In “Pojke Flicka” the concepts of sex and gender are turned up side down.
