'Bare Forked Animal' explores the psychology of a paedophile, painting a bleak and shocking portrait of a man living beyond redemption.
As the play unfolds we learn about the incestuous relationship between a man and his teenage daughters. As he re-enacts terrible events from his past, he swings between self-justification, self- knowledge, guilt and self-pity. Playing out a twisted story of his crimes in a search for both redemption and sexual gratification, Lear inhabits a horrifying kingdom, trapped in an endless cycle of sex and self-mutilation.
There are scenes of a violent and sexual nature that may be disturbing, and the play is for adults only.
